After class, I went to eat dinner with a friend.  We went to a restaurant called Dotonbori.  There, we had an all-you-can-eat okonomiyaki, monjayaki, and yakisoba.  Everything was delicious, but the cheese mochi okonomiyaki was especially good.  We ate a lot and were full.  On the way home, we stopped by a supermarket and ate some ice cream while walking home. It was a very enjoyable time. Thank you for reading.

I worked part-time on Saturday and Sunday.  I'm still in training, so I learned a lot.  After work, I went to a bakery.  I bought a mentaiko French bread.  It was very delicious.  I was very tired, but it was a fulfilling holiday.

I recently went to a cafe with a friend after school.  This shop is Paddle Coffee and Kitchen. I ate a hamburg.  It was very delicious.  It was a very stylish and nice space.  They also have sweets like parfaits, so I'd like to try them next time.  I'll do my best at my part-time job until then. Thank you for reading!

My mother sent me a lot of strawberries!  It's very sweet and juicy.  My grandparents are farmers and grow a lot of vegetables, fruits, and rice.  The strawberries were grown by my grandparents.  When I lived in Toyama, I used to pick strawberries at my grandparents' farm every year!  We can't eat them all, my grandmother makes jam with the strawberries. It's very delicious!

Spicy Food

I like spicy food very much.  I especially love Korean food and Ramen. So I want to go to Korea and try the real thing.  My favorite ramen is Chinese Tanmen Nakamoto.  You can buy it at 7-Eleven, so please try it! This photo is of a restaurant called Dejikaen in Toyama.  It was so delicious that I want to go there again. If you have a chance to go to Toyama, please try it!

[UP1 Reflection #1]

What I learned   In class, I listened to a talk by Ms. Tomomi Duquette. I learned many things from her. I learned that it is important to share Japanese culture with the world and to be proud of it. I was very impressed by her work to tell people in other countries about sake and her strong love for Japanese traditions.   I thought that traditional Japanese culture could connect people.  It made me want to learn more about Japanese culture and how to share it with others in Japan and other countries. The most memorable thing The most impressive thing about Tomomi Duquet's story is the story about IKIGAI.   She said that there are four elements that are necessary to create IKIGAI. They are something you're good, something you like, money, and demand. It's not enough to just do what you like, and I thought balance was important. I also thought that connections with others were important to create IKIGAI. question Ms. Tomomi Duquette was fluent in English. I...
